Sometimes we just feel that life is dark and there's contraction. We can't see let alone feel our way forward. It's a time that can feel very isolating and solitary - as if no one can help. In a way it's true, Joseph Campbell would say it's the commencement of the Hero's Journey - the tests come, the choice to either rise to that test or sink into the depths of it a choice we just sometimes feel we don't have the energy to move through. The Big Pause is the place to reconnect back to the light, to rediscover amongst all the debris the really point to that pain and the metamorphosis we have being offered, if we just put our hand in another's, someone who has experience on that path and knows the way. 'That's the benefit of a Big Pause, it stops the 'doing' escapist behaviour and makes us drop into being....and in that step is where the real change and shift can happen. Never be scared of the being.....just think of it as your doing part of you having a bit of a holiday, being given permission to chill.
